Title: to end your life
Fandom: The Avengers
Pairing: Clint/Coulson/Natasha
Prompt: 12. something/someone missing
Words: 113 words
to end your life
The bed was far too empty; too cold.
Natasha was curled up in a tight ball in the centre of the bed, her arms wrapped around her knees and holding them to her chest. Aside from the gentle rise and fall of her chest, she was absolutely still.
At the end of the bed, Clint sat, hunched over. His elbows rested on his thighs, hands dangling between them, staring at the floor. Like Natasha, he didn't move either.
The silence was deafening. There was no record on, no sounds of someone down in the kitchen bustling around and making dinner, no one sitting in the study doing paperwork late into the night.
They were alone.
He was gone.
FIN.
